In what kind of format will the festival take place?

The festival will take place in a hybrid format, both on-site at the Folkwang Campus in Essen-Werden and on various online platforms.

Where and how can I reserve or buy tickets for concerts?

Tickets are sold via the Folkwang University of the Arts website; tickets can be ordered from the 1st of August by email and telephone.

How can I actively/passively participate in the master class/workshop? Do I have to apply somewhere?

You have to apply via the application form, which is linked here.

Due to the limited number of participants, a selection process will take place. Applicants will then receive a notification from us by email.

How much does it cost to participate in the masterclasses and workshops?

The active participation for the whole festival costs 150€. Accommodation and meals are paid by the applicants themselves.

Passive (online) participation is free of charge. Registration is still required due to the links for streaming platforms.

I have reserved a place as an active participant in the master class/workshop but cannot attend at short notice. What should I do now?

In this case, please contact our team as soon as possible. 

I do not play the trumpet. Can I still participate in masterclasses/workshops?

Yes, this is definitely possible. In this case, please register as a passive participant.

What happens if the festival cannot take place?

We are aware that due to the current situation, there might be changes at short notice. In this event, we will inform all participants as soon as possible via email.

In which language will the festival take place?

Since we are an international festival, we will teach in English as well as in German.
